Something Different Soul Club

'Something Different Soul Club started at the 'Shirebrook Staff ' in December 2014 when Ross got in touch with Johnny, Rob, Ecka and Krunch (knowing we all had records). He had just bought some decks, speakers etc. and wanted to do 'Something Different' (it does what it says on the tin) on a Sunday afternoon. Why not we all thought, playing your favourite records and a few beers on a Sunday afternoon (a no - brainer). Soon we had Rich and Graham on board and are now collectively named The Staff Soul Spinners as  no one man is either better or dafter than the other (and its easier to type on the flyers). Here we are in 2017 still going strong with 8 Sunday Sessions and 4 Saturday All - Dayers planned for this year, playing a bit of Something Different for everyone from early R&B and Popcorn to Classic and Rare 60s Northern and Motown to Crossover and Modern. Thanks to everyone who supports us, hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Staff Soul Spinners
Johnny

''All me records cost a fiver or under, honest love''.Only knows records up to 1969 was born in 1970, usually seen eating, drinking or on the dance floor or all three.

Krunch

Favourite record to play : 'Owt between  2 and 150mph and in any order, upgraded from carrier bag to Holdall to record box over the last 2 years, look out for it on your way home.

Ecka

Slowly being weaned off his Youth Club records and filling his box with quality. Favourite record - 'The last one Johnny played'

''The best D.J. we've ever arrested'' - The Noise Abatement Society 2012

The Staff Soul Spinners (The Elephants of Soul)
Graham
Rob
Rich

'The Guru', Has owned and knows more records than John Manship has had hot dinners, assuming John has had a lot of hot dinners.

Ross - The Gaffer

The Big Softie, could fill a Sports Direct mug in an afternoon if used as a swear and rant box, turntable magic.

Cut this guy in half and you'll find 'A Pied Piper Production' running through him, like a stick of Cleggy rock. A brilliant D.J. spot after 1 or 21 pints.

Usually seen stressing until the first ten punters are in, famous for the infamous 3 before half 6 spot in 2016, Freddie Houston, Spiral Starecase and another one.
